Why don't you send us your code. It sounds to me like you are not
    putting a
    loop that keeps checking.

    Hi,
for the problem below: I tried making an invisible frame with a
    >>label

    and a
button which ends the program. As a new task starts, I made the
    >>frame

visible and named the task in hand, as caption of the label.
But when the program is running, the screen does not become
    >updated.

Is there a way to cause the screen to be refreshed while a module
    >is

    still
    running? Thanks
    Ayse
    Hi,
1- What is the way to inform the user of the task in proress,
    >as

    the
    program runs?
My VB program performs a number of tasks, each of which takes
    >>some

time. I would like to display a message stating the task in
    >hand.

    I
    was
hoping VB would have a messagebox for this, but all seem to
    require
    a
    response.
2- Giving the user also an option to end the program would be
    >>even

    better.
I have often used programs which displays a message of progress
    and
gives you the option to end (though most dont work)
    Thanks for any sudgestions
