    Hi All,
I have often felt that, we need a slogan for the Source. Something like how Frank has for Java Web Parts - "Supplying the wheel, so you don't have to reinvent it!".
Source is definitely changing our lifes, especially with the projects those supported by Apache, Sourceforge, Java Web Parts, etc, and many others who provide selfless help to others to use these (tools), with message posts, Articles, wikis etc. Kudos to all of them.!
There are still many who hesitate to use open source (tools), or to contribute to it. We need to get them to the Source community so that the Novel ideas don't get patented.
Can we have a good slogan to this motto.? What I have one is - "Don't Invent wheels if you can get it". I know, it does not depict the whole motto There can be among you who can have better ones
    Thanks and Regards,

    I don't mind if people/companies aren't onboard. I also have a policy not
    to work with them.

BTW, a "strategic offshore outsourcing" company? That's the devil's work.
    :)

Well, my current work (as an industry fresher) doesn not hinder my personal commitment to the Source World.

I guess this is true for all people. Well, for using Source resources, there will be utterly no hinderences for any one? ;-)

    Thanks and Regards,

Great marketing! This reminds me of those "for Dummies" books. To
download, like buying those books, is to submit to the idea that you are, in
    all likelyhood, an idiot.

    Exactly.

It is self-deprecating on both sides of the equation, and reinforces
the fact that the developers ARE the users, and the users are the
    developers.

All that and it is every bit as irreverent as LAME, Subversion, Tomcat, etc

    Would you prefer half-wit?

maybe "retard", one definition of that is "A person considered to
be foolish or socially inept." - I actually like that one better

    Larry,
I didn't believe you'd be able to to improve on the first incarnation of it,
but there, you've gone and done it.
