    Hello all,
For some obsure reason i decided to setup X on my hurd machine. I
followed the instructions found in the (slow buried) Hurd Wiki.
    But when i type
    # console -d vga -d pc_kbd \
    -d pc_mouse /2 -c /dev/cons /dev/vcs
    i get
console: Too many non option arguments
Try 'console ' or 'console ' for more information
I've installed hurd using debian-K10 cd. Can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance,
    Constantine

You need to remove the `/dev/cons' from this line, just `-c /dev/vcs'
should work. Where did you find the above mentioned?

You need to remove the `/dev/cons' from this line, just `-c /dev/vcs'
    should work.

    # console -d vga -d pc_kbd \
    -d pc_mouse /2 -c /dev/vcs

console: loading driver '' failed: No such file or
    directory

    Any advice?

    However, the webpage at

includes the above correction (exclude '/dev/cons').

Which version of the console client do you use? Perhaps the version
and/or date of the Hurd package is useful here.

I have installed hurd from the debian-k10 cd (console+libcons
    version 0.3).

What does dpkg -l hurd output as version?
