When I first started using .net I asked Microsoft about creating ocx's and
they said you couldn't do it in managed code ony c++'s unmanaged code. I
don't know if this has something to do with it but you could go to a
Microsoft news group and ask there.

Hi all,
I have a ocx file (it's a PS device control object)
and I need to wrap it. I used aximp and it generated 2
dll files (AxDSP820XLib.dll and DSP820X.dll).
Everything is ok when I use the class that is in the
Ax__Lib.dll (the one that is inherited from "AxHost").
But according to my library, I can't use it(it
references Windows.Forms and I can't refrence
windows.forms based on the project policies).
The main problem is when I use the classes in the
DSP820X.dll, they throw a CMExecption : "Catastrophic
failure".
Any ideas ?! Is there another way for me to wrapp this
ocx file and use it ?!
