Pre-Sales Systems Engineer Manager
1. Work with the VP Sales Americas to deliver target revenue objectives.
2. Be a key participant in strategizing large deal opportunities.
3. Be a key participant in developing strategies to grow revenue.
4. Be a key participant in streamlining sales operations.
5. Day to day management of the Security Engineers including:
a. Field support to insure the technical win.
b. Field support to fill in on calls when SEs are double booked.
c. Strategy discussions related to the technical win phase of the sales cycle.
d. Support on developing the technical value proposition.
e. Evaluation support including qualification of intent, process, and scope.
6. Manage the training deliverables including:
a. Scheduling of training and managing the delivery expectations.
b. Training material creation and development.
c. training deliverable development and delivery.
7. Liaison to engineering for product enhancement requests submitted by customers and Lancope Security Engineers.
a. Distill requests to clear business requirements
b. Manage customer expectations around requests, specifically how a request could impact a sale.
8. Security Engineer development including:
a. Personal development training as needed
b. Personnel reviews every 6 months
c. Development and coaching to insure the Lancope sales model is executed, specifically related to the technical win phase of the sales cycle
d. Product training
9. Keeping the competitive data current and distributed including:
a. Developing and maintaining a consistent timely delivery of competitive data.
b. Gather competitive data from customers and other resources.
10. Further developing the product demonstration capabilities and deliverables including:
a. Keeping the current demonstration environment current (CD version)
b. Manage uptime and accessibility to demonstration equipment.
11. Provide technical product marketing support for engineering and marketing groups to include:
a. Technical marketing content development - gather information on a variety of technical product and other topics, draft white papers and other technical marketing communications messages and content, and work with Marcom to deliver technical collateral and web copy.
b. Technical product demos - collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Marcom to design scripted demonstrations of Lancope products; provide demo training, scripts, and other Sales assistance as needed.
JB REQUIREMENTS
1. Candidate must have a minimum 4 years successful direct management of field system engineers, preferably nationally.
2. Start up experience a plus.
3. Strong organization skills.
4. Extensive security and networking technical knowledge, including knowledge of NetFlow and sFlow, routers and switches, IPS, ADS, network management tools, and general network traffic. management knowledge
5. Experience with training and consulting business and engagements.
6. Strong pc skills including multimedia, and Microsoft applications.
7. Excellent presentation skills, and interpersonal communications skills.
8. Must possess think-out-of-the-box capability.
9. Must demonstrate in strong leadership skills
10. Must have a minimum 4 year college degree, BS, BSA, preferably with an IT or computer background.
11. Competitive salary and pre-IP stock
12. Extensive travel nationally.
