    All,
Has anyone worked with SAMBA and WebTrends? I am using a Solaris 8 box and mapping to a Windows box via SAMBA. I use this mapped drive to pull log files which are in turn analyzed by WebTrends. The problem I'm having is that although I am able to see the drive, WebTrends is not. And therefore, cannot pull the logs needed for analysis.

    All,
As a follow-up to my problems with SAMBA, here's an error message I'm getting:

    FAILED with error NT_STATUS_WRNG_PASSWRD

-can anyone make sense of that? my password for my windows user and my UNIX user are the same.

So what user and password does WebTrends use?

    Simo.

the message occurs in the samba logs for my windows machine when i try to run my webtrends reports using the samba datasource. so for example: i have a drive via from my unix box to my windows called d:/logs. webtrends uses that drive to pull the logs files it needs to create reports. the problem arises when it tries to authenticate the user accounts from unix to windows in the smbpasswd. not sure if that's the problem?
