PI HSSF doesnt seem to support remote reference formula(supported by
excel). I am trying to do something like this:

HSSFWorkbook wb = new HSSFWorkbook();
HSSFSheet sheet = wb.createSheet("new sheet");

HSSFRow row = sheet.createRow((short) 0);
//Create a cell and put a value in it.

HSSFCell mycell = row.createCell((short)0);
mycell.setCellType(HSSFCell.CELL_TYPE_FRMULA);
mycell.setCellFormula("BLP|M!MSFT"); //remote reference formula

I am getting the following error:

I can enter the formula manually in excel and it works. CAn this be
done in HSSF?Pls help.

Well i think this is a bug. I solved this problem by modifying the way
the formula is parsed.

tricky, and I wonder if U
remember the way U did that ?
Did U recompile PI, or just called a setParser method ? would U have

well i modified 3-4 files which handles parsing and deals with low
level record generation for formulas. I have the code but its not
immediately accesible to me.
i dont rem xactly what i did cos its been some time now. how much time
do u have?
