    Hi,
I've got a PCI capture card by Integral Technologies,
with chips Philips SAA7146/SAA7110 on it. I am running
SuSE 9.1 with kernel 2.6. When I do:
    # cat /dev/video0 raw
it says "/dev/video0: No such device". But there is
    a device file "/dev/video0" with major 81, minor 0.
The card works under windows. Do I need to install
a kernel module? Could a user-space driver work
instead of a kernel module (mmap() the PCI address)?
