    Limits depends on the kind of Volume Group you are using. AIX 5.3 has a new VG called Scalable that supports up to 1024 Physical Volumes (or LUNs in SAN enviroments). Take a read of the folliwng documentation to learn more about it.
    course AIX 5.3 does not reach yet the new SUN's ZFS file system with 128bits of addressing.
