    Hi,
Currently thunderbird filters forward mails as attachments, and there
are mobile phones (i.e: Motorola V360) not recognizing these kind of
    attachments.
If thunderbird adds a method to add a filter with inline forwarding
these mobile phones can read the email sent in a filter.
    Thanks,
    Sebastian Wain

    Hi Dan,
I have tried that options before posting to the Thunderbird wishlist and
doesn't affect the Thunderbird behaviour on forwarding on 1.5.0.5 under
    Windows.
So it remains a wish or may you have another idea of how to override it?

Well, if your mobile phone is recognize those types of attachments, then

I just looked at the Motorola V360 and noticed this

Your explanation doesn't change anything about my wish, my wish is to
have the possibility to add an inline forwarding filter, not an
attachment one. So I don't understand why you are initiating all this
    flame war.

Basicly if I receive a specific textual message I want to forward it to
my mobile and read it there.

well you already HAVE an inline forwarding feature!

    [ThunderbirdPreferences]Composition [General]

    Forward messages <choose>

you have a choice of inline or as attachments.

If your phone doesnt support SMTP standard attachments its not
    Thunderbirds fault!

As I told to the list initiating the thread that option doesn't run
properly on mail filters. I am beginning to think this is a bug a not a
    wish

Unfortunately, as one of the core developers put it, "forward inline had
some architectural issues that made it very hard to do as a filter action."

Yep, forward inline filter action was intentionally disabled for now in bug 298969.
