I have what is called Webmin-firewall which helps you configure iptables.
What I did was set the default to drop but set what ports to accept. I
opened port 25 UDP and TCP and double checked it but I still cannot
access exim4 outside my network unless I unblock everything.
Does exim4 need some other port then 25?

It helps you only if you know what you are doing, otherwise it helps
    in screwing things up.

He needs to open another connection with the querying client/server
to leave port 25 available for other incoming connection.
The net is full of documentation about Iptable, I suggest you read
    some of it.

I pretty much understand iptables, it's just I like a GUI so I can
actually manage all the rules and see everything nicely instead of 100%
CLI even though I really like working normally in the CLI.

But I will look into how to fix my issue.

Set your rules to log everything that is dropped or rejected, then
use the logs to see what additional traffic might be needed.
