    Hi all.
When I create new IMAP folder in Incoming-folders, I don't know how to change
the settings. I've already tried to find some information in pine help, on
www.ii.com, pine discussion list and google, but I cannot find anything about
this. I can change this setting only using editor and edit .pinerc.
    Can you help me please?:)
    Thank you.
    Wolf.

Sorry. I will write an example:

I go into Incoming message folders collection. I create new incoming folder:

Name of server to contain added folder:
    Folder on "": INBX
Nickname for folder "INBX": ME (AT) some (DOT) server.cz

The pine asks for password and folder is created.

Now I want to add option /novalidate-cert, because it always warn about
unknown certification authority or bad name.

And my question is, how to add the /novalidate-cert option to this folder
definition or change the name of server, protocol definition, username etc? I
can only edit .pinerc and change it in editor. I don't know any solution to
change it from pine. Is it possible? I know it's possible to change these
server settings in definition of IMAP collection.

    Thank you for your help.

    Wolf.

I don't actually know the answer to the question, and was trying to figure
it out. (I suspect there's a way to edit server names similar to how you
can edit the main account in setup/config)

    Anyway, I did:
    1) ML<return>
to get to my main list of mailboxes

    2) A
to bring up the add prompt

    3) ^G^G to show me the help screen
    4) Exit
-Now I'm at a blank screen with the Add prompt at the bottom
    5) ^C to cancel
-Now I'm at a almost completely blank screen (sometimes there are a
    couple of inverse blanks).

If I use arrows, I see that I actually am in my folder list.

I'm on Mac S X. Does this happen on other systems? Is this a pine problem
or maybe a curses problem in S X?

    You have two choices:

    * Close pine and edit your .pinerc file. Look for the "incoming-folders"
option and edit the text there, or

    * Press M S C and enable [X] expose-hidden-config. Exit that screen (and
save) and enter to it again. You will see the "incoming-folders"
option that is editable, and you can change anything there. The change
will become permanent the next time you start Pine.

Nice one. Yes, I can confirm this on pine 4.63 on FreeBSD.

By the way, we agree with anyone who thinks this is a really awful part of
the pine user interface, but we haven't come up with an easy way to fix
    it.

For me, the solution with expose-hidden-config is acceptable, it's better
than starting editor (on old 486:)). course, it would be great if I could
change the settings the same way like IMAP foder-collection settings and
changes take effects after changing without pine restart.

    Bye.
