There really should be an option to configure the get mail button to get
all mail. I have been using the get-all-mail extension, but that one
looks like crap if I change my Thunderbird theme.
This is a very basic feature that should be put in Thunderbird from the
get go. (I know I can hit ctrl-shift-t, but I'd like to be able to use
    my mouse)
Isn't the File>Get Messages For>Get All New Messages menu what you're
looking for. This is also accessible from the toolbar: Get messages
drop-down menu, top item. am I missing something?

The File>Get Messages For>Get All New Messages call does the same as
(icon) Get Mail (drop option) Get All New Messages. The issue remains,
    does this WRK!?

Yes, the 'Get All Mail' extension works. I have 4 mail accounts and it
    taps all of them.

I wish it would also tap the six newsfeeds I have, but you can't have
    everything.

Extension? It's standard TB Anyway It works for me. If
I just click the toolbar button, it gets the messages for the
selected account. If I click the "Get All New Messages" sub-item
of that toolbar button, TB gets all messages for all accounts
(including the ones that don't get checked automatically).
