MS sends "invitations" as text/calendar. KMail seems to recognize this, and builds a special "invitation" view, but the "Start Time" and "End Time" completely ignore the timezone. Looking at the attachment, here are the relevant lines:

When these are displayed in kmail, they're deisplayed as:
start (with irrelevant portions removed)

Description:
When: Wednesday, December 06, 2006 3:00 PM-3:30 PM (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada).
Where: Dev Lab
You'll notice that the StartTime is completely ignore the Zulu (Z) designation.
Both the sender and are in the US/Eastern.
