    Hello,
The dirmc option is specified in the options file, but query backup
shows that the default management class is bing used instead. How can
we verify which management class is being used?

    Ahmed -
From the client, you can do 'dsmc q mgm' to see what management
classes are in effect in the server, and add option -DETail to the
query to get full info. As of TSM 5.2 you can do 'dsmc q inclexcl -
DETail' to see what management classes are associated with your
Include statements. And, to the point of your question, you can
'dsmc query backup <DirectoryName>' to verify the management class to
see when a directory was backed up and what management class was
assigned. DIRMc must be located within a server stanza within the
    client options file.
