Pinnacle PCTV Studio/Rave very noisy picture (tuner problem?)

Hi,
recently I switched from FreeBSD to Linux due to stability problems.
The only thing that does not work after the switch is my TV card
(Pinnacle PCTV). In Linux the picture quality is very bad and noisy,
while the same card works perfectly in FreeBSD and Windows.
Here is some info:
dmesg:

When I reboot from FreeBSD to Linux without switching my system off,
I cannot change TV channels anymore (Linux just displays the last
channel I watched in FreeBSD with a lot of noise). after a cold
start is it possible to change channels in Linux
Am I missing something obvious or is this a bug in the Linux driver?
Thanks.
