I intend to start on the 1.5.2 release tomorrow afternoon -- that means
assembling the release notes etc for translation. I want to start tagging
Monday night and would like to release Friday, or Tuesday 18 (which seems a
    good for releases).
I should have done this before, but real life has had an annoying tendency of
late to interfere with my K hacking.

Note: once 1.5.2 has been tagged, the 1.5 branch will be considered as dead.
All bug fix should be done in 1.6, and features can be added to all
applications with the agreement of the application maintainer.

Sorry to say I didn't realize release was imminent as there is a
serious problem in kplato. It turns out unique ids are not always
created unique, and thus the project logic (dependencies, resource
allocations) gets corrupted on saving/loading the project.
This would normally be a showstopper of course, but as kplato is
"technology preview" I don't know. I see several options:
    - Include kplato as is (I hate this :( )
    - Delay the release until I find/fix the problem (don't know when that
    will be)
    - Release without kplato.

    What do say?

    Hiya Dag,

For my perspective; this is not a regression, is it? I ask since
releasing would give the users several bugfixes over the 1.5.1 they
    already have.

A quick hack might be easiest; what about adding a static int somewhere
and using that for a createUniqueId() method?

Would you manage to get something like that in before the end of the week?

No, I don't think so, it's just that now I *know* about it!

I think I should be able to put in a couple of days this week so if I
get till friday I'm quite sure I will have something.

    Dag,

Just want to check we all understand each other

We're planning to tag _this_ Friday (the 7th). If you can commit a fix before
    then, it'll be in 1.5.2.

if it's a difficult fix that might break stuff, it'd be better not
to do it just before we're supposed to tag. ;o)

    Cheers
    Martin

K, fixes committed, bug closed, so feel free to tag :)

Is there a "K 1.5.2 announce" available somewhere? I could translate in
Italian and insert it on KDE Italy.

    I'll answer off-list.
