Hello Matthew,
you have checked out the trunk (which is the 2.0.7 javax.comm.xxx
release). For rxtx-2.1.7 (gnu.io.xxx release) you need to check out
the branch
commapi-0-0-1
The easiest way to do this is to download the rxtx src archive,
unpack it and then do a cvs up inside the decompressed tree.
you could do a
cvs co -r commapi-0-0-1
but this will take much longer!

When you do a cvs status it will show the sticky tag.
