  • no public API for the standard slideshow, I guess?

    Hello,
just making sure whether I haven't overlooked something: an
application I am working on could benefit from having access to the
"slideshow" feature for displaying a list of images which Mail or
Preview (and perhaps other Apple apps) sport. The feature in my app
though is just an unimportant conveniency; it is worth implementing
only if there is an easy API which just takes an NSArray of image
paths (or something like that), and presents the slideshow.
Far as me searching have been able to find, seems there is no public
API for this, Apple using a private framework (in which case I would
    do without the slideshow), right?
    Thanks,
    ada

class-dump suggests this is the framework in question.

Yup, that's what I meant by

Apple using a private framework (in which case I would do without
    the slideshow)

Not only this is a private framework with all problems which that can
cause; besides, there seems to be no API there to create a slideshow
for a list of files; instead an image data source object seems to be
used. Although of course the data source protocol could be hacked
out, for my current application it is not worth the hassle.

    Thanks alot anyway!
