Absolutely, politics is certainly one of the more off-topic threads
NNE of us want to see begin here, along with religion, social disease, and
Visual Basicand I think I said that when I closed the post down. My only
feeling about latitude in these areas is when the writer does feel there is
some quick relevancy or analogy to a point being made. I certainly don't
want to have to be editing people's threads to the point where they have to
be dismissed simply because the president's name is mentioned! And I don't
have the final word on this either. You can be assured that management will
react quickly to ANY threads, including my own, that get out of hand!

There's a saying that among mixed company, certain topics are better left
out of the conversation. Politics is one of those, and I don't really want
to start having those kinds of conversations on a Delphi list. Would you
mind if we left the political commentary for other more suited forums? The
management has sort of spoken on the subject, but little comments keep
creeping into the conversation, and I personally 1) don't care what anyone's
opinion is on politics in the context of a Delphi list, and 2) don't really
want the list to get bogged down in such discussion. So could we please at
least keep the topics close to Delphi and away from inflammatory commentary?
    Thanks
